Chief Scientific Officer: Enrique Arevalo, Ph.D.
Enrique earned his doctorate in Biophysics from CUNY where he focused on the biophysical analysis of various proteins that include membrane proteins. Following this, Enrique completed a postdoctoral fellowships, at Massachusetts General Hospital studying structure-function relationships of neurotransmitter receptors, and Senior Scientist position in the Karger Lab in the Barnett Institute where he evaluated developed MRM methods and study glycoproteins by mass spectrometry. Subsequently he helped building the mass spectrometry group at Momenta, publishing 8 mass spectrometry papers along the way. Besides being a recognized expert in analytical chemistry, Enrique garnered statistical programming skills that are the backbone to our data analysis engine.
President: Michael Ziebell, Ph. D.
Michael obtained his doctorate from Stony Brook University where he developed peptide mimetics of carbohydrates. From there Michael went to Harvard Medical School and studied anesthetic binders to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor before moving on to the private sector starting at NeoGenesis, then Merck and finally Novartis. His laboratory efforts centered around developing screening methods using mass spectrometry but soon found his true calling — as a business analyst. Michael brings expertise in process development, technology infrastructure and perhaps the importance of listening to customers.
Director, Operations: Andres McKenzie
Andres obtained his Masters in Biology from Northeastern University. He spent twelve years fine-tuning his assay methods development skills at Vitex, followed by Antigenics and Biogen before joining Spectrus. Andres provides the backbone of our laboratory efforts and only through his meticulous efforts in sample handling and instrument operation can we offer consistent, high quality analytical chemistry services.
